FIFA 14 Wipe3D Editing Guide

A commonly requested feature for FIP14 is the addition of updated wipe3d files. Below I will try to explain how to make them. wipe3d updates are low on my priority list, so if you want them, try the guide below.

You will need:
Jenkey FIFA File Explorer 2014
Image editing software (Photoshop, Gimp etc)

Image file type:
.png or .dds

File name:
specificwipe_type_tournamentid.rx3

Example:
England Premier League
specificwipe_1_13.rx3
specificwipe_10_13.rx3
specificwipe_13_13.rx3

Where to save?
FIFA 14\Game\data\sceneassets\wipe3d

Steps:

  1. Prepare your images in your editing software as per the guide below
  2. Rename the template file to match the ID of the league/tournament you wish to update
  3. Open the template file in FIFA File Explorer
  4. Replace each ‘Block’ with your saved image
  5. Save the .rx3 file
  6. Done.

specificwipe_1_XXXX.rx3 – Replay logo
Block_4:
 Tournament logo
Size: min: 256×256 / max: 1024×1024

specificwipe_10_XXXX.rx3 – Introduction
Block_3:
Tournament colour (This should be a flat colour matching the competition’s main colour theme. Example: Purple for England Premier League)
Size: 16×16

Block_7: Background image
Size: 2048×1024*
*Create your image at 2048×1080. When saving, resize to 2048×1024. This will ensure that the image maintains its aspect ratio when viewed in-game.

Size: min: 256×256 / max: 1024×1024

specificwipe_13_XXXX.rx3 – Home and Away introduction balls
